Measles is a highly-infectious disease caused by Rubeola virus. Clinical manifestations of measles include high fever, cough, runny nose, anorexia, myalgia and photophobia. Patients may not tolerate glaring lights in the room. Though it is possible that preschoolers have fears of medical personnel and procedures, the nurse must first consider the symptoms associated with the patient's condition. This behavior is not related to an impending seizure.
