Neurogenic shock following a high cervical spinal cord injury generally presents with hypotension (80/64 mmHg) without reflex tachycardia to compensate (78 bpm). Most studies use the definition of systolic blood pressure less than 100 mmHg and heart rate less than 80 bpm. The patient in neurogenic shock likely would not have a normal heart rate (80) and normal blood pressure (122/64 mmHg), bradycardia with hypertension, or hypotension with tachycardia.
