Sinus bradycardia refers to a normal rhythm of the sinus node with a resting rate of lower than normal, 60 beats/minute. The symptoms of bradycardia are syncope, dizziness, lightheadedness, chest pain, shortness of breath and exercise intolerance. If the patient has symptomatic bradycardia, the first-line drug to be administered is atropine. Dopamine is the second line of choice for sinus bradycardia. Adrenaline is the third line of choice for sinus bradycardia. Heparin is indicated for clotting problems, such as pulmonary embolism and deep vein thrombosis.
