Ethnicity refers to the characteristics that a group may share such as language and dialect, religious beliefs, shared traditions and symbols, common geographic origin, literature and music, and more. Race is genetic in origin, it includes physical characteristics such as skin color, bone structure, eye color, and hair color. Spirituality is a broad term used to encompass one’s relationship to a higher being, existential beliefs, purpose in life, life force, or integrating aspect of one’s person. Culture is defined as all the socially transmitted behavioral patterns, arts, beliefs, morals, customs, life ways, and characteristics of a population that influence perception of the world.
