Based on the patient’s description, she is still safe to live at home with a once weekly home health visit in which her pills can be sorted for the week and any assistance can be provided. Moving at this time isn’t necessary because the patient can ambulate around the home and there is nothing to indicate that she cannot keep up with the housework. Her main need is pill sorting. Therefore, remaining in the home is more appropriate for this patient than an assisted living facility, long-term care facility, or skilled nursing facility.
