Team nursing is a delivery system where the team for a particular patient is led by a registered nurse (team leader), who is responsible for assessing and developing the plan of care and for delegating work assignments. Functional nursing is a task-oriented nursing delivery system where nurses are assigned different jobs delegated by the charge nurse. Relationship based practice focuses on individualized care and keeping one primary nurse at the bedside for each patient. Client focused care is where the registered nurse for a particular shift assumes total responsibility for the patient’s care.
