Individuals with a spinal cord injury at T11 are able to achieve activities of daily living (ADLs) independence with adaptations, which includes preparing meals. Therefore, the nurse should provide further education on how this individual will still be able to cook. These individuals may even be able to walk short distances with knee-ankle-foot orthotics. They should also be able use the toilet independently.
