Whether you’re a die-hard fan, or have just read his name for the first time, we have some news for you. Nurse Blake Magazine is coming! We spoke with the magazine’s lead editor, Maggie Aime, RN, about what we can expect from this new comic relief outlet for nurses.
Abby McCoy: Can you describe what the magazine will be like?
Maggie Aime: Nurse Blake Magazine is a lighthearted, easy-read, and relatable publication that aims to connect nurses, nursing students, and other healthcare professionals. It will provide a sense of community among nurses with humor, of course!
The readers can expect inspiring stories about nurses who have made a difference in our profession, nursing news with a twist, serious topics that affect the nursing profession, nursing events and activities, a section where Nurse Blake answers readers’ questions, and we can’t forget Nurse Becky.
AM: Why a magazine? What inspired Blake to start it?
MA: Nurse Blake is known for his ability to make nursing relatable and humorous while advocating for important issues in the profession. He decided to take his advocacy and humor to the next level and create something to deepen the nursing connection.
The result is Nurse Blake Magazine, a fun and practical publication. Nurses can pick the magazine up at home or during lunch, break away from the daily stresses of working on the floor, and find relatable content. The magazine serves as a way for nurses to connect and feel part of a community while enjoying much-needed humor and entertainment.

MA: I’m going to be biased and say all of them! But if I must pick:
